i'm looking for the "perfect" turboback exhaust system for me. nice sound (close to stock in quiet wise), best gains (b&b says 25whp and 50whp peek), decent price (1000-1100), and overall quality. Can't go wrong with HKS but i haven't heard any sound clips from any HKS exhaust systems. AMS sounds REAL nice but I haven't seen any dyno sheets and it's not the full turbo back.

Stupid exhaust question here:

Will these exhausts affect emissions compliance in the future? I wouldn't think it would since the catalytic converter is still there, but I'm new to this so I'd like to know.

Also are any other potential problems possible with a basic aftermarket exhaust system?

seems like the Vishnu and the RnR have really sharp bends in the tubing, which seems somewhat restrictive...

any thoughts?

And the AMS. AMS exhaust has similar bends to the Vishnu. The best way to do away with some of the bends is to either have the piping/tip after the muffler angled a little or have the muffler itself angled like the RMR. I've never seen the RMR or similar angled system in person on an Evo so I'm not sure how it looks....but it is best for flow. Angled systems require less piping and less bends which makes them cheaper to make also.

Ya, you might want to take a good look at our 3" SS turbo back. It's one of the lightest on the market and still remains pretty quiet. At crusing speeds it's just perfect and just a little louder than stock.

www.rnrracing.com

Let me know if you have any questions on it. It also has features a 3" SS flex section unlike any of the others systems that didn't put one in there. Without a real flex you are taking a risking of cracking over the years because of the stainless material being used.

Actually are system has very minimal bends. I got to change the pics on the site as they are a old design. Here is a pic of our system and you can see how it has a slight angle and this is to use the least amount of bends.

This is the HKS Hi Power catback. I am a dealer for all three companies you are looking at and would love to help you with your decision if I possibly can. Please feel free "ANYONE" to email or pm me with any questions on RMR , AMS , HKS , B&B Oh , and you forgot Thermal R&D. I sell those for the Evo too. Very close to stock sound with obvious hp improvement (and all polished , beautiful !)

Thanks !

Thermal R&D . This isn't the actual Evo catback but shows the style and craftsmanship of Thermal. Great exhaust as well !!
