I would like to plan on doing a timing belt replacement and advice.
Is there anything else that I should replace when doing the timing belt?
MD352473 Balance Belt Tensioner/Pulley
MR984375 Timing Belt Hydraulic Tensioner
MD369999 Timing Belt Idler Pulley
MD998738 Mitsubishi Timing Tool
I am purchasing the belts from a vendor:
Power Enterprise Super Strong II Balance Belt $48.00
Power Enterprise Super Strong II Timing Belt $158.00
Power Enterprise Super V Accessory Belt $98.00
In addition I plan on replacing the PCV valve
MD152772 PCV valve
MN158072 PCV valve hose
Is the timing belt changed on age or milage? I know our schedule says 5 years or 60 K, but can we go longer safely. Are our engines interference or non-interference engines? Not to change the topic.

Thanks

Well if you hit 60k before 5 year - then change it.
I would NOT push past 60k - I have seen them skip and break in other cars.
We have interference motors - they go - so do your pistons, valves, wallet.
anyone used the PCI timing belt kit sold in Ebay?Is it any good? Its much cheaper than oem. below is a write up in their ebay store.
"This kit is assembled by Preferred Components, using components that meet or exceed OEM specifications. PCI specializes in supplying OHC timing sets & components for the "professional installer". PCI is an importer and supplier of high quality timing system products manufactured by both OEM and aftermarket manufacturers that have OEM business and understand quality standards"
