Help want to get a tune soon
i ordered a clutch disc as alot of you may know , the car its fixable .......and after that i wanna do a tune with mellon tuning , i was wondering the first tune how does it go?i mean like i shouldnt have any mods on it or i can do a couple or what , i mean you dont have to pay for tuning for every stupid lil mod right? i learned alot of things but then again its still kinda blank for me because everyone says something else , like what does FTW mean i still dont know it means for the win or front two wheels but then again im learning real fast but still know very very little . (also i have like a month before my car is fixed the part is ordered from japan and its goin to take about a month to get here)

One thing at a time there. Get it back together first.
Depends on the tuner if they are willing to retune for free. One or two mods some might. But unlimited tuning....I doubt it. After all, they are providing a service.

First of all you need to have a Wideband Air fuel ratio . This will help you monitor your air fuel mixture so that you are in a safe area to not go lean and mess up your motor. A good save area to be is in the low 11's. Higher number = lean and lower numbers = rich. Your motor wont blow up from being rich, but you wont be maximizing your power output. With a lean mixture 12 and over on pump gas (depending on tune), you will start melting stuff internally.
Then you need a tactrix cable, a lab top, and an ecu tuning software (free). You will use this to record data from your car and email it to Mellon. He will then tune the data send it back to you and you might have to do another pull till everything is where it should be....
FTW means For The Win. Its just a figure of speach that people in car forums use to express that something is good or best.

Not really sure what the issue is here... u want free tunes? usually initial tune is one price and re-tunes by the same tuner are usually cheaper. Most people install a good amount of parts at once so they dont have to re-tune every time u get a new part.

Thats exactly what i want a # of mods then a tune i think that way would be cheaper right? im thinking of getting the Greddy Comp T-ic tbe system (comes wit downpipe testpipe attached to downpipe & exhaust) walbro 255lb fuel pump, injen intake w/ lowwer and upper IC piping and ive herd that the MRs have better turbo outlets (02 housing) so i dont think ima need a new 1 right?or sould i upgrade that also? i already have a turbo timer and a EBC installed

You need to buy the EvoScan program to allow you to log the data from the wideband sensor AND the data from the car as well. Once you have it logged you would send it to Mellon to look over, he'll make adjustments where it needs it, and then send the rom back to you. You upload the changes onto your car, log it again, and repeat the process until Mellon is satisfied with the tune. That's basically how it goes (that's how I usually do it anyway for the select individuals I deal with), he may specify differently though.
The exhaust and piping are fine, just make sure your car is running in tip top shape though before Mellon starts tuning. That means no CEL's, no issues, just a perfect running car. No tuner likes to deal with a car that has "bugs".
So...curiosity has the best of me...what did you end up breaking from your last long in depth post?
