Unhappy Oil analysis HELP!

Ive been having intermittent knocking problems and I havent been able to figure out what it is. I had the top end checked out, a compression test and leak down test was perfect across the board. Im not consuming oil and the shop couldnt find anything wrong with my car besides the knocking. I decided to get an oil analysis. and here are the results.

The lead is VERY high but im not sure if its from the bearings or from something else. The oil had 3k miles on it and it was the oil used for all of the dyno runs while trying to troubleshoot the problem. There was a gallon of race gas that was run through the car and this might have contributed to the amount of lead in the oil. I have also run a few injector cleaners and "octane boosters through the car as well as seafoam just to give them a try.

My main question is could the high lead be from the race gas? Im sure the high amount of fuel that was in the oil is from me idling and warming up my car for about 10 to 15 minutes every morning so if there was that much fuel in the oil the lead surely would still be there correct?

Any input would be great.
thanks

when you say knocking you mean it as a noise or as detonation ?

i am very sure if you told the analysis people what type of leaded fuel you are using they should be able to tell you from where its comming, they know the specs on the engine therefore thats how they can ID the problem. however its hard for them because you have 2 sources of lead bearings and race gas

another tip Brian, seafoam has Chlorinate solvents which contaminate the oil with silicone, it breaks down the oil very quick by contaminating it.

thats why @ Wynn's fuel system cleaners we dont use any CS at all, our MSDS states clearly no chlorinate solvents, i would stop using octane boosters and seafoam.
Try our 3 stage which will help you to get rid off all the carbon deposites inside the top end and you pistons and also your injectors get cleanned.

and use some good AMSOIL 100% synthetic.

Thank you for the reply. I stocked using any sort of octane boosters since they dont work. I have emailed blackstone and told them what i used and ill see what they say. I want to get in another oil analysis before i tear off the oil pan to look at the bearings. Ill let you know of any updates

I just switched to amsoil for my tranny and love it I get back to you on the fuel system cleaner though!

Drives: an evo, duh...

Whats up? Give it a fresh oil change and drive it for a bit and then re-send it to get another analysis done. It could be all of the stuff you added may have altered the oil. If not, just sell me your R6 and go with a 2.3 stroker

Drives: the racing line

Did the knock go away with race gas?

Stop using all those additives and simply change your oil with Mobile 1 every 3k miles. Call it a day.

If the knock doesn't go away with the race gas then its mechanical. If it does its your tune.

It seemed like it did but i wasnt able to get on it as hard as i normally would because of the weather so i have to pick up some more gas and see. I want to try to get another 3k miles on the care before i add race gas and get another analysis done. Then ill give that a try again.

Drives: evo 9, 4g Eclipse

my car is prone to knock up top also. I would increase MIVEC alot up top and see if it goes away. I know my car loves more MIVEC uptop then most evos where usually they zero it out completely or close to it.
1st do a fresh oil change and get it analysed.

Drives: Ford F150HD Supercharged, R35 GTR 2010, 9 sec Fullweight evo8.

This car is more knock prone than others I have seen.
We add race fuel, octane goes up knocking goes away.

I am sure with time we could find what was wrong, there may be something in the motor causing it who knows.

LOOK AT YOUR FUEL DILUTION...

It is showing 3% which is 50% above Maximum allowable limits.

Your oil has also sheared to a 20 wgt which is common with Royal Purple.

Those two elements alone add up to no Film Strength.

You definitely need a tune if there is no mechanical issue such as a bad Injector.

I would recommend Trying AMSOIL PI Fuel treatment and change oil... AMSOIL RD-30 Racing Dominator would be an excellent choice. Information on these products can be found on this page http://www.bestoil4you.com/Evo.html
