evo 8 t-case in evo 9 GSR?

alright so i have an evo 9 GSR with a bad transfer case. i am like completely ignorant when it comes to the tranny and the t-case in the evo. i want to put an upgraded shepard or TRE t-case in my evo9 but dont know if i can. am i limited to an oem ACD t-case?

Nope, you just need some of the donor parts or make sure Shep has them when you send yours in. If you are just looking for a used 8 case with no deathwhine, grab one with an open front diff and drop your front LSD in it and voila you have an 04 RS case equivalent. This is what I have, Lucas has, Paul has, etc.

To keep the lights off disconnect the ACD computer.

No I know of an 2006 Evo in San Diego running an 8 non ACD t-case. All 3 lights on the ACD will be on all the time though.
