Great test. Just recieved my amsoil cone filter (part# EAAU-4560) from Oil Doc today. I am now waiting for the vibrant maf adapter to arrive.

Both great choices; I personally went for the Perrin as did the owner of the car used for testing.

Perrin: more power but not quite as good filtering abilities
Amsoil: slightly less power with better filtering capabilities

Both are superior to the Vibrant is every aspect though; no question about that.

One clear advantage the Amsoil has over the Perrin though is ease of cleaning. The Amsoil is cleaned with a vacuum or air compressor, where the Perrin is cleaned with a special cleaner spray and water, then has to be reoiled once dry (messy job).

Makes me wanna switch to the perrin, but I want proof that the the AEM isn't doing better than it already.

Do we know where Bushcur got the original filters from or what brand they are? It looks like a Rezton Filter to me but without the mounting studs.

I'm going to order the Amsoil filter very shortly! I am simply amazed by the results of the amsoil filter.

I spoke with David briefly about them and he said he tried but was just unable to get them anymore.
