CBRD, in the interest of weight, can the thinner one be used on a hard driven lapping car?

yes,
we have used 1" thick cores before... we can use something with higher fin density... the issue is, the higher fin density, the worse the cooling is at slow speeds....
Our 1.25" core works amazing and has the relocated neck, i could always put it in the stock location... but what fun is it being like everyone else 
There are various time attack cars accross the country running our rads... and rally cars...

The Koyo has a relocated neck too, if you ge the Evo 6 one as I did. But, since hindsight is always 2020, after owning the Koyo and looking at the CBRD one, the Koyo is very clean, but the CBRD is super clean.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Koyo Evo 6 radiator in my Evo VIII, but there is just something about that CBRD that I kinda wish I would have got that instead.
Koyo - 9/10
CBRD - 9.5/10
What would be interesting to know is will an Evo 6 upper radiator hose work with your radiator? I like it better than the straight Parker (I believe) hose included in your kit, but that's just me.

yeah sorry to get in this thread guys...
we dont use parker, we use a 4 ply marine hose....
I am searching for options... but we've never had an issue with failure on ours...

i have the mishimoto one and i love it. Very good price, pretty good quality. I would infact not compare it to a koyo or CBRD rad. The mishimoto is a pretty hefty piece as well. If you have the money, get the koyo or CBRD, if you just need a cheap rad, mishimoto is the way to go.

What defines a better radiator? You would assume it would be the performance of the product.
We recently ran our product in a Formula D 240SX that replaced our competitors product. The car ran 30 degrees cooler on the track with our product than the above mentioned.

I got a mishimoto rad and I can tell you its not cheaply made. Besides its cheaper also thicker and has the nice chrome on the top that makes the engine bay come out.

does anyone know the thickness at the bottom of a mishimoto ??
my koyo was rubbing with my epm dump .... the koyo at the bottom was at more than 2 inches , 2.3 to be exact , if the mishimoto is not that thick i guess i can buy it

heres my mishimoto evo 4/5/6 radiator with the relocated neck. New the radiator cost me $200. The evo 4/5/6 radiator house cost about $35 shiped from ebay
