rough idle on cold days?

when my evo sits overnight in the cold. it idles really rough for quite awhile.. it generally stops after it warms up...

is it because of my mods and no tune?

I let it warm up for a couple minutes...

it just started now that it's getting colder out.

I just got all the mods done, so I haven't had time to tune it

My car idles rough too in the mornings. I takes a while for it to warm up. I need a tune too though. My motor is fully built bored .40 over so im sure that has a part in it. But i hate the cold as much as my car does. 93 octane

Good question. What does your car idle at when cold?

500-700 it shook bad and felt like it was going to die...

throttle response was very bad..

If I was on the throttle, the turbo spooled to double the boost it would normally be at for that amount of rpms...

If I gave it too much throttle it would 'stall' like a fuel cut feeling and back fire.. that was at only 4000 rpms...

after driving it for 15 minutes it came out of it and drove normal..

only happened once and hasn't done it since..

Drives: an Evo duhhh!

my car runs like crap when i start it...i leave mine for about 3-5 min before it idles smooth... i guess this is more common than i thought... my rpms jump very high though...when i turn it on it goes between 500-1500 jumping up and down...and also starts slowly holding the rpm up to 2000 for a few seconds before dropping back down again...hopefully itll go into the garage soon for the winter lol

My car idles at about 1800 when its very cold, as it warms up steps slowly down to 900 and idles pretty consistent.

I didnt think an evo would even stay running if it tried to idle at 500rpm.
