My car is my DD.I also use it for street races... once maybe twice a week and the pump boost is 26psi for DD to 35 psi for street races.

Monday we will install the pistons and rings.
Does any evo builder can help us with the decision of the top rings end gap?

I'd call Cosworth and double check that, because that's the first time I have ever seen a smaller gap on the second ring being recommended.

I has a pdf file with all these specs from cosworth.

I am wondering... how much oil a built motor is burning?

I installed a JAM stage 2 shortblock recently. I broke it in for 500 miles on mineral oil and no boost. After that semi synth oil and 0.5 bar max because I am not tuned for my cyl. head and cams. It does not use any oil so far but I am not pushing it. I would say the engine feels smoother than my stock engine even though it has forged internals that are supposed to make more noise on startup etc.

FYI!

Be adviced that there are two different common alloys on forged pistons. 4032 and 2618. Both with different expansion rates under temp. Consult your pinston manufacturer or experienced builder for the suggested clearance based on the application that you are going to have.

Wiseco used 2618 and mine were installed 0.022 top and 0.020 second ring. No issues so far @ 24-26 PSI.
