The coppers do not come pregapped though. However, I think that the iridiums are pregapped. Are you just slapping them in right out of the box w/o checking the gap first?

i installed ngk one step colders with gapping them. got a tune. now sometimes when i get on it. sometimes i get a sudden loss of power for a spilt second when the rpm is in the 6k range. is this consider a misfire. what is the proper gapping. does ngk come pre-gapped? i will check mine soon.

i herd your not supposed to gap the really expensive NGKs cuz they are pregapped and if you gap them you will scrape off the platinumn or whatever is on the tip that makes them so darn expensive. Can any one confirm this or is this just an anouther evo rumor.

Well I called NGK's tech line. tt a tech he said they come pre-gapped and not to gap them. said i would breaK the iridium tip. this was a few months ago. I forget what gap he said the one step colders were. i'm calling them on monday to find out.
