^^ Agreed. Imagine if I had a set of "real" camshafts! I believe that my power level on HKS cams are awesome. I'm making more power than most people with GSC S2s and Kelford 272s. Time for me to upgrade and blow everything out of the water. jk car is not that great, though I'm hopping for 450hp on my retune. But if I make 5hp I'll be happy because it is so hard to make up power in this level on the stock turbo. You have to be tricky

Excellent, they had been down for a couple of days, I wanted to look over these charts again.

Thanks for fixing the links.

Circuit application

Hi Martin, i'm charles maxwell from jamaica. I've been racing at dover for some time now, witnessing the undefeated title of the TA-1.
This info you've provided re the different cams has shed a bit of life for me because i've been wondering which cam would be best for dover with my current setup. I"m running a stock motor with the evo 9 stock turbo, so i've narrowed down to the tomei 264's or the kelford 272's. What do you think?
My real concern is not to lose my midrange power, cause we now have 335ftlb at 4000 rpms. I'm looking for more of a compromise. Here are some pics from the last event...

Sweet car Charles Maxwell!

i wouldn't recommend Kelford 272's if you want stock response.
Kelford do a 264 11mm, 260 10.35mm that is supposed to be stock response with increased midrange.

But as seen in those tests, the HKS 272's gained midrange/spool compared to stock.
I'd go with those! i'm wishing i had!

Cheers, Mike

Theoretically more lift and/or duration on the intake cam = more ingestion of air.
