That's what I would like to know. I don't plan on getting a huge turbo so the S1 and the HKS 272 would fit my purpose. They are both similar in price, with the S1 just being slightly cheaper and both retain the stock valve springs. So what is the bottom line or is it just a crap shoot with personal preference winning out?

I guess what surprises me the most is just how awsome the HKS 272s are.

Thanks to AMS for the contribution.

HKS is great, I wouldn't go as far as awesome though

Their 272's have always been a great cam. After seeing the test results I am happy that I bought the 272's years ago, back then there were no cams that were comparable for the street. Even though I'm looking to go better, the HKS cams have always kicked ass with my setups.

to get a clear answer, AMS would of had to had test the JUN camshafts. I'm sure others have seen improvements in performance but I haven't seen any back to back comparisons with the JUNs. I would say to get a rough idea on how the JUNs would perform, look at the GSC S3's and the Tomei's; those seem to be in the same neighborhood as the JUNs.

bump for the rest of the graphs!

Yah it will never beat a big race cam for power, but it is the only one so far here that gives up nothing and only adds to the area under the curve. Just suprised because we're bored with them generally as a community.
