Based on the relationship between the HKS 272 and FP4R as illustrated in AMS' test, I would surmise that the HKS 280 cams will make slightly more power than the FP4R cams. I base this on the results off my car, where by going from HKS 272 to HKS 280 cams I gained 20 whp (360 to 380) with a slight loss (100-150 RPM) in spoolup.

im assumeing u need an upgraded valvetrain for the GSC S2 and S3?
currently im running a 3076r and meth with HKS 272's. how bad would the spool be if i threw on some S3's? and can they be run with a stock ECU?

S3's would really ruin your spool. I know we have fought about this many times but the ATP kit is already lacking power under the curve with horrible spool. The 30r is not that big of a top end monster either. Stick with something that helps with spool and midrange. I think the 272's are good for what you have. Maybe HKS 280's or JUN 272's

basically HKS 264's and HKS 272's i know for sure you dont need to upgrade valve train, but honestly if your going to do cams just do it the right way. Get it all at one time why take a chance with your motor?

Agreed on the sticky part. And for the money it appears the HKS 272s are a hard cam to beat for nice driveability and good power. I'd really love to see the 280s in this test even though I know it's not going to happen lol.
