Get an aftermarket clutch. DO NOT GET AN OEM REPLACEMENT. The clutch is the weak spot of the evo. Fix it!!!

I live in Illinois so AMS is my best best. I think I'll just go the RRE noname and have AMS install it. That would be the best install, cheapest, and most importantly I get to keep my warranty. The main factor for me is warranty, that's hy I don't want to go to something other than OEM or an OEM look-alike.

You don't have a warranty

No offense but did you read my posts? What could I possibly do stupid? If I call AMS they will tell me which route to go which WILL void my waranty. I'm only using AMS for the labor. I'm not trying to build a race car...

then it did it again,so i *****ed to the Regional Manager, and got a whole new transmission, clutch, and flywheel.warranty
this was at 4K miles though
usually they dont warranty a clutch, but in my case they did

The stock clutch is a POS, why did you by the evo? Stop living in fear and go out and enjoy your car. $1800 for a stocker is ridiculous. IMHO

I agree. Eventually you will mod it and void the warranty. Or they will find a way to say you abused it and void it anyway. You might as well get what clutch suits you best and put it in.

Its only a matter of time anyway.
