The P507 code shows up frequently when someone sets the BISS for a higher than stock idle, and the Idle Control Stepper valve no longer has enough adjustment to bring a high idle down to a target idle...
Another possibility its the ICSV is "Frozen" (siezed or damaged) and it can no longer properly adjust, and its stuck at a higher than target RPM (1500 or so)
on rare occasions, addon devices such as turbo timers or piggybacks can trigger this code, but that doesn't happen often.

The usual reason the “Service Engine Soon” light illuminates is due to something related to emissions on the engine failing. The insufficient EGR flow will cause higher tail pipe emissions. The P0300 random misfire (if real) may allow raw gas to go to the exhaust and raise the level of emissions. So, a SES light is usually not something to be panicky about unless you face an emissions check that allows no codes.
However, let’s say the engine temperature sensor fails and indicates to ECU that the engine temperature is -40 degrees and you live in Key West. The engine may not start because the starting mixture will be way too rich. The P0300 code also sometimes causes the ECU to go into a funky mode that anyone who has experienced it does not like. However, Mitsubishi says this is not a problem.
