I don't know of Garrett making any -14 unless it is very new and they just don't list it on thier parts document. Correction = Unless they are refering to the GT3082 that is a -14 and it is set at 600hp +/- it is known as the GT3040.
GT3076 series (76 being the size of the comp wheel Exducer dia)
-10 is a 48 trim 450hp +/- (really close to a 3071 size)
-11 is a 52trim 480hp +/-
-12 is a 56trim 520hp +/- (most common usually surge ported housing)
-13 is a 60trim 600hp +/-
-15 is a 56trim 520hp +/- (common and non surge ported housing)

do all these have the same a/r? what are your feelings about going with a -13? what about a gt3040(-14), is this a good turbo and is the 30r turbine ok for the 35r comp? can all these turbos be ordered from garret? and finally, whats the spool up difference between these? looking for an upgrade, gt35r is too big, so im trying to find the next best thing for pump and alky. thanks for posting the differences.

All of these turbo can be used with a .60 or a .70 compressor housing and a .48(not recommend in my opinion)/ .63 / .82/ 1.06 turbine exhaust housing. So your housing choice won't be an issue.
The GT3040 is a match with a standard GT30 turbine wheel but a GT40 sized compressor wheel just like the GT35R. This allows for a better spool up charteristic than the GT3540R and about 95 -100% of the flow. Now is it as efficient as the GT3540R, no it is not but it will flow the air and more air than the standard GT3076R's.
The GT3076 -13 they use a different compressor trim and a larger Inducer size with the same 76mm Exducer size to get similar power. The difference would be again spoolup and efficiency. The -13 and -14 should be fairly close but I would think you could get similar power to the -14 but with a little bit quicker spoolup. A few people on here has had good luck with the -13 CHARA. As in myself I have never personally tested one so these are just my thoughs.
Hopefully I didn't confuse you more.

I have a 3076r -13 t04s cover and .82 back housing. this turbo is rated at 650hp. I am going to putting the kit on shortly. I was told by the person who sold me the turbo that it made 569whp on 100oct on a dsm. I also read on here that the 4 bolt design with a large back housing will generate the most HP on these turbo's. But the -13 CHRA is the best out of all of them.

This thread would be better served if people actually posted results of 3076 turbo. Here is a good example of what the turbo is capable of on a dsm 4g63 .FP3052 with .70 exhaust. The engine was a 2.4 with FP2 cams and sheetmetal intake.

I have seen many 35r graphs that made power sooner. I think this is the best example of why so many just recommend the 35r if you are considering the 3076.

Were the 35r's that made power sooner using the Garret 4 bolt ex? How about a 35r verse a 30r using the same ex mani? Are you saying a AMS gt3076/.86 would make less power everywhere then the AMS gt35r kit on the same car? Please clarify that statement. Not trying to be a dic*, it's just that I REALY do not know if I am going to do a 30r or a 35r for the 2.3 I am building.

^^^^ what about the gt3040? seems like it would be the best of both worlds and it spools faster than a 35r but makes more power and has a better topend than a 3076r.

evoviiiyou runns a FP 3065, which I beleive is very similar. 30r turbine with larger compressor than the usual 3076R-12.
In any event, he has a Switzer custom setup, but its nasty. 3076-12 like spool putting out 540 whp with very mild cams.
