Another BR20G-EVO9 VS GT35R Dyno graph

Here you go guys.

Below is a dyno chart of two of the best cars I have ever dyno'd here. Both on pump gas. The Base pulls are in red/light blue, that is my personal EVO8 RS with our new 20G-9 on it. This is our 20G turbo in an EVO9 turbo.

The second car is a full (BR)Buschur Racing Stage 4, BR stroker, BR cylinder head, cams unknown, AEM EMS, 93 octane, BR deluxe FMIC, 1000 cc injectors. The part that is not ours is the GT35R kit, the kit is a Full Race kit. Very nice, a little hard to install and get to the bolts but it is a nice kit. This car made more power at less boost on pump gas than any other car I have put on our dyno. The car hit a peak boost of 21.5 psi. I ran the car to 7500 rpm on a few pulls and the power stayed flat. I used this particular pull so it matched up well with the 20G pulls I have done.

I think in the case of this particular build/turbo/tune, this GT35R kit, while just as laggy as most, would win over the 20G in a drag race. The power from 5400 rpm and up is higher with the GT35R which makes this car a beast once it is up there in RPM.

Enjoy.

I was just looking at this graph. I am still impressed but this was not the highest HP the 20G dyno'd, I just grabbed a dyno run and used it to compare. I guess I should have been more careful. The other run I posted yesterday was 334 whp and 346.4 ft lbs.

Just a point to keep in mind. This GT35R car was still nice.

Do I have something Wrong Here?

David,

I maybe missing something here, but these graphs show your RS with the Evo9 20G turbo making more torque than the 35R with the stroker kit.

Isn't the 316ft lbs a little low for a stroker kit with a 35R on 21lbs of boost? Is the cams on this car holding it back?

What do you think?

Well Geoff Since you are having such a big manifold issue on honda-tech why dont you produce one for the evo ...I just asked technical questions regarding the velocity stacks when I posted but other people were kinda going crazy...No but really I would like to see pics of the turbo kit..Full Race makes...Also on the intake manifold when you tested it with the velocity stacks flush to the plenum it made less power than the final product just curious??

David, isnt the power on the GT35 car a bit on the weak side for all the mods(stroker, head, aem, gt35).
Any idea why?
Good comparison though..

I believe that is the GT35R kit...

I'm gonna have to start saving my pennies. This 20G EVO9 turbo is looking better and better as I read about it.

you are ultimately limited by the octane your fuel has and thats what keeping the GT35R from making big numbers...

i mean if buschur says his 20G will run low 11's high 10's... what do you think the stroker gt35R would run as is on pump?

Dave, you sure are progressing on this turbo considering you just got a hold of one. You always pull through.
