Holy crap. I just read up on how differentials and LSD works and now this diagram makes a whole lot more sense. It's kind of amazing how this whole thing fits together. Now that I understand it... I can't help but think how freaking brilliant the people that came up with this stuff must be/have been. I'm impressed.

You're computer must suck, because I can see it fine.

Maybe you don't have Adobe Reader?

Strange noise in Tranny

Car - 2004 Evo 8 MR (JDM)

There is a funny noise in my gearbox... sort of a grinding noise... like the bearing is bad...

I'm not sure if it is the throw out bearing, or if it is a bearing in the gearboe itself... Only thing I can tell you is that when I sink my clutch, the noise is gone (note while reving the car)...

Can anyone provide some in-sight?

Because the noise goes away when you depress the clutch pedal, I'm pretty sure it is your TOB. If it were the transfer case the sound would not go away. I had mine replaced twice under warranty.

Jdm evo8 has AYC + ACD right?? Can we eliminate ACD by putting in a non ACD T/case or do we need to eliminate AYC too??
