Transmission grind at 4k rpm throughout all gears

Good day everyone,

First, I am not performing the rebuild myself. I have done google and search through evom.

My question is how many have had their transmission rebuilt (removed, repaired &reinstalled) and their price quote?

I would like to reduce the chance of getting anus raped without lube before even posing the question to others. I am getting multiple quotes before getting it done as it is not stopping me at this point from driving the car. It simply grinds if I slowly drive up the RPMs. If I speed through the 4k range then I don't experience the grind.

Thank you in advance for any responses!!

Mike

JMS in San Antonio rebuilt my transmission. Initial pricing started at about $500 for removal/install, while the rebuild itself was around $900. I needed some internal parts, so my rebuild was closer to $1100, then of course I bought a clutch and had the factory flywheel resurfaced, boom, $2K, it all adds up quick

That is what I figured will happen to me. Since it is out minus well swap out the clutch and flywheel. No point in paying more further down the line.

i have the 6sp. I removed the trans myself and had Ivey rebuild it. I dropped it off. Depending on what you want will dictate the price.

And I can say this for Sean. Was great to deal with and my trans(knock on wood) is solid. Was my daily for years.

500-600 to remove and install transmission. And around 1100 for rebuild. Not to bad in my opinion.
