This is badass. I can't wait to get time and have Tom finish my tunes for this year with the 2.0L and 6466 combo.

Yup! Ill see you there! Car will not be in kill mode tho, simply because im driving it 500 miles there and 500 miles back. If I was trailering it would be a different story.

Instead of going to the shootout, Me and Steve swapped his OEM head for the Buschur head he had laying around. It is a ported/polish/mill/oring buschur head. I swapped over the valvetrain from the old head to the new head, and now he has a oring head.

Now we will go for even more boost say maybe 40psi and hope to click some nice 9 sec passes soon in this car if the trans allows for it.

His old head is of course for sale if anyone is looking for a OEM head untouched.

When upped to 38-40psi it started to fill the reservoir in 4th gear pulls with 1500-2000 miles on the HG. So instead of risking something serious going down the track, instead we did not go to the shootout and swapped his OEM non oringed head for a Buschur Oringed head he had purchased awhile back that we were gonna use but ended up not using right away.

Now its on, now the cars running 40psi and no issues. He just took it out tonight and beat the crap out of it. about 5 4th gear pulls back to back. Coolant level did not budge. Orings and a fresh HG cured the issue.

We turned it up tonight, its pretty fast. If you have a good 4g63 core, you may as well let me turn it into a 2.3. I been doing allot of 2.3's lately.

Yea we spent Friday night "The night before the shootout." replacing the HG. I was thinking about making a last min drive over to OH but didn't want risk it due to not testing it out.

+1 on everything Tom said above. If you have a 4G64 from my experience. A non O-Ringed head on a stock Comtic HG they go around 1,100-1,500 miles. I had 2 of them. I think the boost level I ran pissed them off "35 PSI." I then gave it one more shot with a Cosworth HG. That one lasted 1,500 about. Now that I put the O-Ringed head on we will see if they lasts any longer. It currently has 100 miles on it and has seen 40 PSI a couple times.

I hope my stock 4G64 HG holds up when I turn up the boost. Not a fan of o-rings.
