402whp Stock IX turbo 92 octane

So it seem we finally have the recipe for 400+whp on a stock turbo on 92 octane. As much as it costs though I think most people will opt to just buy a larger turbo and roll that way. It also required an Apex'i AVCR though really any 3 port boost controller should be able to replicate this build. Numbers were 8whp less uncorrected, but it was 86*/39% humidity in the dyno room today.

Mix-

Evo IX 2.0L stock motor
GSC S2 camshafts and springs/retainers
Magnus V5 intake manifold
Forced Performance 18psi actuator
Boomba 75mm throttle body
PTE880s
Muse O2 dump
ER 4" stock turbo intake
ER SD tune
ETS short route intercooler piping and 4" intercooler
ETS 1.5" stock replacement header
Apex'i AVCR boost controller
Omnipower 4 bar MAP sensor
DC downpipe
Walbro 255

How much of a factor does the SD tune have to do with the overall HP?

This is what I have been looking for! I'm on a 92 tune right now and switching to e, but will definately be using this combo for when I need to be on pump.

Normally it does, he spent alot of money on parts that while they will work for future mods most people would just have bought a Green or Red.

8-10whp on a stock turbo with stock compressor cover

Its an expensive way to do it when you could throw a larger turbo on for the same price.

I posted this thread up on the Oklahoma Evo Group on Facebook because everyone here making 380-405whp on stock block/turbo IXs are on E85. I'm more impressed with pump #s as I have no access to E85 and I'm liking the #s here.

Very nice. I'm running 91 shell here in Vancouver BC as the 94 Chevron we get doesn't seem to match the quality of the US Chevron 92. I'm hoping for similar, if not better, results once I get the rest of my bolt-ons installed.

One question though: is the afr I'm seeing in the graph 12:1? If so do you think that is pushing it for a pump street tune? I see most people aim for anything from low to high 11s usually.

It is 11.8 or so in car, there is variation between the tail pipe sniffer we use by the time you add the O2 dump and any possible small exhaust leaks between the front of the car and the back. I do normally target 11.8-12.1 though, this shows some 12.5s but those arent quite real. You can do it in short bursts but for extended pulls, basically anything other than a dragstrip, richer is better since it keeps EGT down.

That's awesome, we should talk soon, I'm hoping with next round of parts I'm putting together mine will be in the same area for power.

That is a pretty nice curve. How much room do you think there is for improvement with e85?

Great job Aaron, awesome pump gas #s! I'm assuming the owner is still using the stock compressor housing? What gains, if any, do you think there would be if he swapped one of the FP 84mm covers on?
