Blade

Just bought a Carbonetic PRO BLADE 1600KG Regular Single plate clutch kit to replace the Comp Clutch Twin from Tiago at VR Speed. Don't get the street version which is 1300kg. They are both the same price.

PART NUMBER : ACM23132-16

The review:

For Excellent pricing please PM TIAGO if you want one!

Hopefully this clutch can hold the torque. I bought this clutch cause Curt Brown says it is the bomb. I have been disappointed by most of the clutches on the market up to now (Twin's, Triples, OEM modded singles). They key is to have a daily driver clutch that can hold the 600whp without killing your wallet while being able to shift at high rpm.

Curt told me it is going to take a while to break in the clutch so it may slip for some time until it beds in. His slipped for about 300 miles and now it is all good. Just remember that when you deal with Carbon it works better with heat. This is not the same type of carbon that Exedy uses. It is a Carbon/Metal hybrid that gives it great longevity . Can't wait.

The pic that VIVID uses is an incorrect older pic and is a totally different clutch. The Blade only comes with the sprung center and 4 pucks. fyi.

We just got back from flogging my car all over Pittsburgh, me plus 470#'s of extra meatheads in the car, lots of 1-4 pulls, few light launches and the blade clutch held all the abuse, so far so good.

That is great news Curt. How many miles do you have on it?

Little over 1000, all pretty hard miles, it just gets better and better with more break in.
