400 wtq - Stock Evo 9 turbo

Had a repeat customer come in for a retune on 91 and E85 after adding a few supporting mods.

Ended up tieing the 91 oct stock turbo record on our dyno, which is 339whp and has been held for about two years now. Which should give you an idea how hard it is to make that kind of power on our low reading Musting dyno, and on 91 oct, with the stock turbo.

The car actually made 340whp on a couple earlier pulls but the final tune had more torque and 1 less whp. It did claim the stock turbo 91 oct torque record on our dyno which is now 348wtq

Then we moved to E85, which measured at E78 (via GM FlexFuel sensor) since there was still some 91 in the tank, even after draining, which is normal. We have E85 tunes come back for a quick "touch-up" tune after a couple tanks, and they usually pick up a little more power.

On the "E85" tune it made: 395 whp / 400 wtq @ 28psi peak.

+56 whp / +52 wtq on E85

2006 Evo GSR

Modifications:

3" TBE
Stock Evo 9 turbo (ported)
Titek V2 02 housing
MAP V2 ported OEM exhaust manifold
MAP V3 ported/coated OEM intake manifold
MilSpec OEM ported throttle body
APS cold air intake extension with Perrin open filter
Nisei IC pipes
Nisei 3.75 Competition FMIC
Synapse recirc BOV
Exhaust cam gear
Cosworth M3 Mivec Cams (280/272)
ARP headstuds
Forge WGA
RC1200cc injectors
Walbro FP
GM 3 port boost solenoid
Mitsu OEM 3 bar map sensor
Stock MAF
Stock motor
Stock ECU

For reference:

Highest power on a Evo 9 stock turbo so far on our dyno is 403 whp / 402wtq (E85). This had the car doing a 11.4@120 mph, full weight, street tires, 300lb driver.

320-330whp will do 11.9-12.0 @ 115ish with a really good driver, full weight Evo.

Stock 03/04 evo = 190-210whp

Stock 05 evo = 210-215whp

Stock 06 evo = 220-230whp

Stock 08 evo = 215-230whp

Stock 09 Ralliart = 190-199whp

Forgot to add this was dynoed on Hoosier drag radials that where sticky as flytraps on the dyno, which probably brought the power down a bit.

But they should work well at the strip. ;P
