Maybe because it's a 2.3L engine, meaning that you will produce more power at less boost (compared to 2.0L engines). Less boost = less fuel pressure = more fuel flow
Very nice build especially spool wise

Woohoo! Last I hear this setup was doing ~475whp, any changes since then? What intake is on this car?
Can't wait for the billet version, should be good stuff
How about an underhood shot just for kicks?

The first post has a ET/Trap data point. Highest power on a Evo 9 stock turbo so far on our dyno is 403 whp. This had the car doing a 11.4@120 mph, full weight, street tires, 300lb driver.
320-330whp will do 11.9-12.0 @ 115ish with a really good driver, full weight Evo.
Stock 03/04 evo = 190-210whp
Stock 05 evo = 210-215whp
Stock 06 evo = 220-230whp
Stock 08 evo = 215-230whp
Stock 09 Ralliart = 190-199whp
Not alot of drag racers come by our dyno. Mainly quick street Evos and circuit Evos.

Yup it was at 475-480whp with stock crushed bov which still leaked.
Changed to synapse and a quick retune and this thread happened.
It's running a SE/GST open air cone filter. Little bit like buschur used to sell. Bolts straight onto the MAF with no adapters and fits in a hacked OEM airbox all nice.
like this:
Fits in hacked airbox like this:
ends up looking like this:
Stealth is worth it's weight in gold here in Kalifornia.

How is city drivability with this turbo?

He was getting a bit of bov surge with the crushed OEM Bov, which was to be expected. He says with the new synapse the drivability is great once he adjusted it just right.
