Mellon Tuning Houston trip results 10/22/09 35R 30R FP red green 93 and e85 8, 9, 10
I just wanted to share some results from my recent trip to Houston to tune some cars. Big thanks to Tom for putting me up, shuttling me around, Anthony for shuttling us around to breakfast/lunch/dinner and Huy at ILR (Inline Racing) for letting use his shop as base camp, tools, food and drinks etc.. and especially my customers, you guys are the best and I can't wait to get back.
On some of these cars I did a baseline pull before I got started tuning to see if I was making an improvement or not over their previous setup/tune.

This one puzzled me, it didn't want to make the power it should. Usually I can get this much ore more on straight 93 octane, I figured it would do well into the 400's on meth. It was at 18psi and another tune when it came to me, at least we got some massive gains.

unfortunately Anthony aka Lanevo03 had a transmission failure that kept us from doing his tune, we're going to try again next time I'm there or do it remotely. Andy stepped up in his place even though he had a slick tune by another tuner. He wanted to see if I could squeeze out more though.

I think it's a testament to how much time and effort I put into each tune, no rush jobs here

My car is a beast now! I can't believe Chris squeezed an extra 40whp and 40wtq out of her. Thanks for the kick ass tune Chris. I'll have a Black and Kelford cams waiting for your next visit to Houston.

You gained 30-40hp below 3000rpm before the turbo is fully spooled or going into open loop most likely.. That is nothing short of amazing. How did you accomplish this? The same gain seems to follow the rest of the graph as well.

50 whp and 99wtq works for me. Just need some porting done and e85 then we''ll see how much more power it can squeeze out. Thanx for the badass tune.
