Sweet Jesus.. That is bad ass..
That "other car" that made high 700s on a Mustang should trap mid 160s right

I cannot comment on that Junior.. If I engage in any talk about that it will be assumed by the mods that we are talking about someone who i am not allowed to even discuss whether good or bad.. in return it will result in points or a ban..

I'll talk about it Junior. Yes, the other MD 768 whp numbers produced 143 mph as the best trap speed, it was also using lightweight wheels, motorcycle slicks, no exhaust, no back seat, no front seat, no sway bar, no spoiler, etc.
This was from the place that just said this about their cars before doing all this to it: "We don't have any "tin cans" over here. Only street cars with PS, A/C, Condenser, manual water pump, and ABS, complete with all airbags, heater core, full size radiator, lower members, sway bars, etc etc"
Interesting. Cars that gain weight when they go on diets, HP that doesn't produce MPH that matches, all crazy. I'm glad I live in Ohio where reality still exists!
This car did trap 159.57 mph on 708 whp on our dyno using E85. The car also had a full exhaust, full interior including carpet, both air bags, front and rear sway bar, harnes bar, stock seat belts along with 5 point harness etc.
Glad you asked Junior, thanks for letting me clarify.

David, I think its interesting that when we ran Jeff's 1G at 159 (a 2864 pound car with driver) we were running around 850whp on our DJ. Obviously DSMs have some other issues like shifting, but based on the weight that you listed I am coming with just over 800 or so to run that trap (by our dyno). It is very impressive
My hat is off to you, your crew, and Brian for a fast Fing Street car

Johnbradley, that is about right. The 1g's aero is so much better than the EVO. 850 DJ power and 159 probably isn't too far off what Brians car made, his car is also I'd guess 2850-2950 pound range.
Here are a few known examples:
Mike at AWD dyno'd 920 on his dyno and 805 here.
Our black car dyno'd 734 here and 903 on Switzers.
Our black car NEVER made 900 whp here, I think the best was 890'ish and trapped 172.74 mph.
My RS has made a best of 710 and has had a best trap speed of 159.64 mph
Mike's car at the 805 it made here has gone 167 mph trap speeds.
Our black car with 760'ish here ran 167 mph trap speeds, it was pretty light.
Typically a 620'ish whp EVO, a real EVO with everything that should be in it, still being in it, such as A/C etc. will trap about 146 mph, that is a COMPLETE EVO just missing the basics such as spare, jack, bumper beams. As anyone with any experience knows it doesn't take much effort to make an EVO 3,000 pounds without driver, it's almost a "give-me".

I looked at your weight reduction thread when I was doing that on my car and got it down to 3100 even w/o driver and some very heavy 18" show wheels. All it took was about 2 hours of my life for the stuff I hadnt already done...coilovers, exhaust, etc.

I dont buy these caddilac weight evos myself man.. I know what a 2800lb evo looks like with seats and exhaust.. 3350+lb evos with no seats, no exhaust, no full battery, motorcycle slicks, coilovers, aluminum roof etc.. dont have 500lbs to take out to get to 2800lbs..
