Mellon Tuning EVO9 stock turbo 407/360 18psi
Now this was an interesting one, I told Garret we might not be able to make the power it should due to the stock fuel pump and stock injectors. We had the boost at 25psi and it was completely out of fuel by 5500rpm 115% IDC. We lowered the boost until he could make it to the limiter without running out of fuel and that ended up being 18psi. So the torque isn't that impressive but I was surprised to see that it still managed to make over 400awp on 93 octane. He's going to picked up a walbro and 1000cc injectors and come back for a re-tune, I suspect we might make more hp and we'll definitely make more torque.

So it made over 400 on 93 with only 18 psi stock turbo?
Are you sure it was stock chris?

I think cold weather, good combination of parts and tune are working for this one.

Those FP4R cams must kick ass then. Good work.

That's crazy for only 18psi! Congrats!
I will follow up this to see how much the car will progress with more boost!

18 psi on the stock turbo with 115% IDC beating the green hta car you did on 30psi with head work and a bunch more stuff???? I guess the 9s like to be run lean
what is your take on the results - isnt this higher than most green / bbk's (and even some reds) you have done? I can almost believe it as I gained very little after the mods listed above (intercooler, injectors, bbk, etc)... Cant believe it at 18PSI though

actually the AFR wasn't lean once I turned the boost way down to 18psi and the green/bbk/red I've tuned recently were in much hotter weather
bbk 380 95+* heat
green 400 80+* heat
red 415-450 95+* heat
red on e85 522/475 80*+ heat
this car 60*
Believe me, my butt dyno was saying, this sure feels awfully strong for the mods, I even mentioned it to the passengers. I ran it through DLL thinking, 375+ and when it showed 407awhp at high rpm, I realized why it felt so much better the higher we spun the RPM.
I ran this log and another car's which was the same but with stock fmic, stock cams and stock 02 housing and both stock IX 6-speeds. I tuned it on saturday and this car on sunday so the weather was pretty much identical. these are with the same DLL settings, same stretch of road etc...

Did you pop the intake off and look for a 5 or 7-bladed comp wheel? Geezus.
