TTP Tuned HKS MIVEC cammed Evo IX 93 octane!

Jose like many others has seen firsthand some of the results of our work with the Evo and it wasn't long before he had to get to work modifying his 2006 Lancer Evo. Jose had scored a set of HKS 272 duration camshafts and wanted to get them installed and tuned on 93 octane.
With the HKS MIVEC intake cams, they are regrinds of stock units it appears. This way they can retain the lightweight hollow cam design the factory engineers had developed for the car. HKS is a high quality manufacturer of aftermarket components for the Evo so we won't question their decision to regrind the intake cam.

Anyhow, once the car cooled off a bit, Luis@TTP and I got to work on the cams. I felt like a change of scenery for a little bit so we both attacked the job to expedite the process so there would be a little time to work on the shop beast by the end of the day. In short time the cams were in, the car was buttoned up and we were on the dyno getting to work.
By the end of the tuning session the relatively low lift cams allowed a peak whp of 354 with an equal torque of 350tq to the wheels. With the solid pumpgas number on the stock turbo, we are certain the car will be a very streetable beast with fast spoolup and power immediately on tap.

nice, looks solid! what are all the mods on the car? this may have been posted but what does a stock car do your dyno?

Not in this case. It is really not efficient to run baseline pulls, strap and unstrap, heat up the engine, only to burn your hands trying to swap cams and do it all over again.
Its much easier for before and after when tuning is the only change before or after. That or some engine bolt-ons like intake.
