As i promise, the stock turbo test to a full race engine 13:1cr and stock fuel.

Here are the specs of the engine:

2ltr, 13:1cr pistons, 4340 rods 157mm, Highly ported cylinder head, oversize valves, custom cams 2nd stage no mivec, 3'' down pipe and exhaust, stock exhaust manifold, ETS 5'' intercooler kit, ETS small battery kit, Magnus v5 intake manifold, boomba throtle, stock turbo, Haltech 2000.

10.2 psi 401whp



17psi overboost to 14.9psi at the horsepower rpms, 449whp



17psi overboost to 14.9psi at the horsepower rpms, 458whp



Some pics














We will test now with racing fuel and meth. I supose to the turbo will broke above 22psi. We will see.

^^hate to burst ur bubble.. but they dont really compare (dont think u were doing that though)

That is a Custom 8Liter 4cyclinder. not just a billet block with super highend parts on it..

great thread, great info, learned alot, high quality stuff, alot of haters but that is a good thing for you spyros, and i know this is off topic but can you please post pics of your shop? it looks extremly clean and I LOVE IT. thanks

Good work with what you are doing. I hope you have not given up on the Volkswagen crowd....

fabulous engineering in these projects and I wish you nothing but more success. For anyone who does not know who this guy is, you might want to look into what he use to do for the Volkswagen 8V/16V motors before he switched to japanese love.

Wow, I read this entire thread and its amazing....
That stock turbo 9 has an amazing power band for that type of boost level.... I should of asked for that for christmas

That really is just a custom 4cyl. I think they literally just cut one of their V8 top fuel engines in half to start off with - which itself was a Chrysler HEMI design I think. So yeah, half a Chrysler engine in a RWD funny car with an Integra shell. Hmmm, okay - there's that entertainment value someone else mentioned. But its a hermaphrodite that doesn't belong to any camp, really.

Spyro's car at least uses Mitsubishi as a blue print. Domestics have done this for years as their aftermarket has them covered from top to bottom. At least now there is the option to do it with a Mitsubishi.
