try not to just hung up on dyno numbers. try to see what TTP's cars trap at the track for a real power indication

I don't really get what all the hype about dynojet, or mustang dynos or dynamics is. all i know is scott gained me 50wtq and 60whq from my previous tune.
see thread
http://forums.evolutionm.net/service...93-octane.html
btw, scott is there any way to send me or post up my dyno graph with a filter of 6/60 instead of 7.5/75? i see some other members tuned by you who have 6/60 as their filter and some others with 7.5/75 as their filter. curious to see what the value 6.0/60 would look like, as it wont be as smooth from what i hear. (btw not sure if its supposed to be 75 or 7.5 and 60 or 6.0)

The smoothing factor only smoothes the curves. It can only slightly lower the numbers by reducing peaks and valleys.
The smoothing factor used will depend for the most part, on how balanced the wheels are. Out of balance tires can cause jumpy lines.

^ okay thanks.
everyone keeps talking about whp vs trap speeds. is there a general rule or a guidline that shows trap speed = XX amount of whp?
what im saying is what should a 300whp car trap at? 110 mph?
350 whp = 115mph?
400whp = 120mph?
etc. can someone please give me some estimates (assuming the drivers are all the same, i know theres no exact calculation, but im just trying to get a ballpark)

We haven't had any TTP cars on our dyno, alot of land between the two dynos being on opposite coasts. I wouldn't even attempt to guesstimate what they would do on each others dyno. Weather and air differences alone would skew things.
Highest stock turbo so far on our dyno made 403whp, trapped 120 at full weight.
Ryu is kicking ass and taking names with his Evo so far so more power to him.

his was Red at 570tq? I wonder how that's done... I know a lot of people at 500tq "S" shaping their rods under compression. FP actually blew a rod threw the block at 500tq but I believe that was because of a stock rod bolt failure!

Some is power some is weight.
Here is a good calculator that you can use in reverse as long as you know the weight of your car:
http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm
It is reasonably accurate if you dont mind getting a number that is more or less like a Dynojet.
