Tuned at TTP yesterday. IX SE, 35R, Stock cams

Well I went to visit Scott yesterday for some headstuds installed, and a Tune.

Mods on the car include...

750cc inj
RNR 35R, .63 hotside
3.5 inch FMIC
Stock UICP
Stock cams
Fuel pump
and other supporting mods.

Car made just under 430whp at 27 PSI. The car runs AWESOME. I am happy with the power. Its obvious the cams are holding the car back!

Im sure Scott will post the graph once he has some time.

P.S. Myself, and everyone is loving the "new" Launch control

Thanks again Scott!

+1 TTP!

MattT67's trip to TTP-Engineering, 430whp on 93 octane, stock cams!

Matt_T67 jumping the gun over here !

Anyhow, Matt brought in the black beauty yesterday to bring his latest set of mods to life. Last time he was out, we has tuned him on his stock cams, pump gas to 355whp I believe which allowed him at full weight to achieve 11's in the quarter mile.

This time around, the changes consisted of 750cc injectors, RNR ramhorn GT35R on .63 hotside and stock cams still. Matt got a deal on some Kelford 280 camshafts, but we advised against using them on the street car as the lift and duration were excessive for both the valvetrain and his setup. We did advise him that a 272 duration camshaft would be better suited to his current setup.

So we got to work on the car after popping in some ARP headstuds and getting it on the dyno. Even at a lower boost level the car was detonating on the tune it came in with from another shop. Matt had the car tuned up north for the drive down. However they seemed to get the injectors sized correctly, they failed horribly in the rest of the mapping.

Remapping the mivec advance tables, ignition timing and fueling, unscrewing the rpm scaling and adding our antilag 2-step mapping, the car came alive. When it originally came in "tuned", as a baseline it only made 10whp more than his stock turbo when it was last tuned on site. After we reworked the mapping and optimized the boost, afr and ignition timing, the car came alive at 428whp on 93 alone.

Here is the dynosheet:

Out of curiosity, I also found his last pump 93 tune from the last time he was tuned here and overlayed it with the new 35R dynosheet for comparison.

Here are those results:

Is good that he is found new power with the new tune and parts.

Nice that everyone is happy.

Reading and looking at the current posted pictures in this thread, I think Matt should upgrade alot of parts needed to support the 35r.

I have a set of kelford 280's lying around, too. TTP could you explain in a little more detail the pros and cons of that big of a cam in a street car. The way it was worded led me to believe that you think it would damage the motor.

Also great numbers bud and good luck at the track

Thank you guys,

Sorry Scott, I was sitting at home bored, and decided to post!!

Yes, With your stock turbo tune, I ran a FULL weight (with a tool box, and spare tire in the trunk) to an 11.80@117 with a 1.80 60 foot a few times that night.

The car runs great. The power hits nicely. There is a bit of a significant difference in power from the tune the car had. Up north the car ran well, but rich, since I was running stock FMIC. I installed a 3.5inch FMIC before the drive down. When I got here to florida, The car ran HORRIBLE. Big weather change and what not. I went from 60 degree rainy days, to 92 degree HOT days.

The Anti-Lag... Oh my christ... Its amazing... Scott, I literally have 5 people wanting a retune and this new found launch control now. They will be in touch!

Im going to the track tonight, As long as the rain holds up. This is my full weight, Daily driven car. Gotta love it

Good stuff. Hopefully a new turbo, coils, clutch and tidbits and I will be down again.

Matt,

Can you elaborate on the two step? What's so different on it? Just curious?
