Very nice numbers. I hate that "pump gas" is 93 octane for most people and not the crappy 91 here in CA.
Sorry to hear about your issues but you basically blew your engine after this setup and tune? A mild blow but it's downtime nonetheless. So what are the "safe" numbers?

How can you blame them? Subaru is the best, everyone knows that.

Well I think it depends on who's driving the car I've spoken with a couple tuners and manufactures, from what I've been told about 500/500 is a gamble on the stock bottom end, specifically the stock connecting rods. Mine let go in 4th just after peak torque, the rod snapped right in the middle, but the pistons tops and plugs are clean... so I kinda had a bit of warning before hand, from asking around and from Switzer's but I did it anyways. live and learn!

Thanks! Can't wait to get another shot at the 1/4 once its back together, need just a bit more seat time with it to put that torque to good use...

That does suck. I have a friend out in CA and he's running lower boost on a 3076 on his vw, cause of the 91 he has a tough time, but being front wheel drive he cant hook up the power it already makes so its kindof a toss up
On the bright side, the first runs done on the dyno with this were at only 21psi, and they still made 380-390 and held power all the way up, with very very little timing advance and low 11 afr's... I'm not sure how much boost you can run on 91, but this one seems to make good power with lower boost too. That's what FP said it would do also, being the wheels a little smaller than the red
It drives (drove ) really nice too, on the way home from Norwalk I really could not tell I wasn't driving on my stock turbo, the spool was right there like my stocker and there was no surging or crap like that, very drivable, I've never had issues like that before anyways, but I was glad to not start having them with my upgrade
anyways thanks for all the good words guys, I'll post an update as soon as I get it back together!

Congratulations on great numbers. I know Scott and Robert have spent a lot of time testing various combinations for a killer pump gas turbo. I think you've just proven that they nailed the combination. This just adds another bullet to the lineup of high performance turbos. If I only had another car. One for each turbo. Sorry about the ventilation, but like you said, 500/500 is pushing the limit of stock bottom end.
