its a very nice system, i would say with all parts required you'd be looking at around $600-$700 installed the interfaces required for the vehicle.

With SmartStart, there is no such thing as "too far away." SmartStart works over the cellular network or over Wi-Fi, giving you virtually unlimited range anywhere in the U.S. As long as your vehicle is in range of a GSM cellular signal and your phone has a internet or Wi-Fi signal, SmartStart will work.

Does this work like a gps unit too? Can you track where your car is if someone stole it?

I've got lojack on the mr, but it'd be nice to be able to locate it myself. I know there is a separate gps unit you can add on, but I was wondering if this could be a one-in-all type of deal. Anyways, sorry for the ot.

The simple graphical interface gives you control over the following features of your installed Viper remote start or security/remote start system:
  • Lock/arm
  • Unlock/disarm
  • Remote car starter
  • Trunk release
  • Panic or car finder
Alerts This screen provides notifi cations from the system. These notifi cations are indicated
by a red circle above the Alerts icon which also indicates the number of uncleared
notifi cations received. These notifi cations can be in the form of alarms, communication
issues or updates to your service plan. The available Alerts may vary depending on
the type of system installed in your vehicle
