AVIC install + climate + Gauges

Hey guys,

Newbie here, I just put a deposit on a 2006 Evo MR and the first thing I want to do is put in a pioneer HU. I have done some homework and seen the relocation kits... but the kits put the climate where my gauges are.

My question is: Guys who have the gauges (Oil, Boost, etc) how have you done your install? Gauges on the dash or pillar? Pictures or a link to pics would be great!

I'm guessing you are going to be using a double din? if so time to delete the gauges lol. Unless you wan't no heat/ac. Best bet buy new gauges and mount them somewhere else.

Thats what I figured... Does anyone make a gauge cluster that can sit on the dash, but have a stock look? I just dont want to put the gauges on the pillar or look cheesy.

Something like this maybe?
