iTunes/ media player HDD in car

Bizarre question and I hope it has not been covered before, though I suspect it may have been...

Is there a reasonable way to go about installing a HDD and monitor of some kind that will run a music program (essentially requiring a low powered, but full computer build) into the Evo? I am somewhat computer savvy and I like DIY projects but I am not up on electrical especially in the car. Or are there nav screen/ head units that run something like a mobile Windows that would allow for a media player like iTunes to display and play music? Just spitballin, if this is totally ludicrous, just say so, my feelings wont be hurt

Really? No one? At least someone tell me if this is a stupid question and there is a much better and easier solution out there...
