The stock SSL amp is under the driver's seat, so it can happen if you insist.

I have an Alpine PDX amp under each set. Fits great and there was room to mount my crossovers as well.

There are predrilled holes for the factory SSL system amp that you can use. I have seen others drill there own holes but I wasn't as brave.

Yes, good pictures. I have an amp under each recaro seat in my 06 IX MR. One 1000 mono for a 10 inch type R 10 inch in the trunk (under drivers side), and an 600 4 channel amp for the 4 6 1/2 speakers and tweeters. All of the amps are alpine v12 series (last years model) and they fit perfectly. I did just go straight through the floor panel, i was hesitant to drill through the floor, but i made it clean and was sure to seal everything up water tight. It has been on for over a year now and I have had no problem at all everything sounds great. I will try and take some pictures and get them up here.

For people installing an amp under seat, where are you grounding?
