You can easily use an add-a-fuse or tap the cig lighter, but I got lazy when i first put it in and I don't smoke and realized that it doesn't bother me at all that it's using the cig lighter.
Good purchase! V1 is absolutely fantastic and has proven to me to be very VERY accurate and effective. I caught myself numerous times unmarked cop hunting in traffic
wait... forward arrow? so he's up there somewhere ... oh now it's rear arrow.. I passed him... ok a little more... NOW it's side arrow ... Turn head and wave

Don't wire to the domelight, not 100% sure on how the delay works on the dome circuit. If you have the hardwire kit, just wire it to ignition...not accessory, ignition. Well it's a personal preference, i prefer my v1 to be off if i am sitting listening to the radio.

Screw the 9500i. Overpriced and over rated. V1 rules all!

Half the cops in Va don't leave their radar on, they wait until they see a fast car then shoot. I'm too worried about the Spectre so I just drive 5-9 over unless the flow of traffic is faster. Guess that's a good thing though, been ticket free for awhile.

I have ran mine in VA for a long time now. Had no problems until a road trip across 58 in south VA. Makes sense to me why I got pulled. Still tempted to fight it since he never asked to see it. I run mine on the driver visor with the conceal module down low.

Forgot to mention, I run the concealed display unit behind the clock. Pretty straight forward install and is clean as hell. High and center for the placement of the v1 as well.
