You'll need a speaker adapter from a 6-3/4 size (oem speaker size) to a 6.5
I am running 6.4 Pro Series in the front and SL65 in the rear. This is what you need for them to fit. Yeah not cutting required...those will go on to the front door with no problem at all.

thanks drift4!
got my ebay adapter and the speakers yesterday, looking forward to install it..

and by the way, the reason i needed to ask or confirm was i brought the car with some fosgate punch p163 in the front installed without bracket straight on to the doors. And the magnet scratched the window deep! now i am all scared with any speakers up front....

yeah it sure will do that without the spacer...thats why this adapter serves as a spacer, as you can see the distance from the door trim panel has lots of room and you can install a real 6-1/2. On another note...it just can be from poor installation....I can picture it now with large gaps around the speaker making it not seal properly.

Thats just messed up not using the factory provide holes. How deep is the basket of the speaker

it did fit pretty pretty good with the mounts from ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/6-Speaker-Adapte...item4a9bcd77c4

i had the bostons in front and alpine type s 2ways in the back, no amp just a pioneer head and after installed, i found that the alpine had alot more bass than the boston. The bass was like having a little sub in the back, that how much bass it had!
