Small Digital Amp with mini battery???

I'm only finding mixed answers on this so I'm gonna ask it again but in a little different manner.

I want to add a single small amplifier for a single subwoofer and run the other speakers off of aftermarket deck power. I am looking at a small digital Alpine amp. I was always told a digital amp is less draw on an electrical system, so I thought this might be ok. Has anyone had luck doing a similar setup. I'm not interested in a moster system...

I'm looking at an Alpine PDX-2.150.

I have a pretty small system in my car and I am running it just fine with a small battery. I dont see you running a small amp with a single sub is going to be an issue.

I have the AMS small battery and a 5 channel Alphasonic amp in the trunk powering 4 speakers and a 10" sub with no issues.. (2 years now)

The Alpine PDX is pricey because its a pretty efficient amplifier. It doesn't get too hot and its light weight compared to other amplifiers.

at 150 watts, I wouldn't worry about power consumption. thats like 11 amps MAX when the car is running. Plus class D amps are already efficient because they use switching transistors that only take as much power as they need at the given point in time.
