Probably not since the tube is designed around the woofer that's in it.

I will probably sound horrible. I did this long time ago only I was using a crappy 8 in Radio Shack sub. I would just get the proper speaker for the tube or the proper box for the jl

Replacing the bazooka tube with a different sub? No, it would not help.....throwing away the bazooka tube altogether and putting in a decent sub, custom box, and decent sub? yes, that would help

Ditch the tube, get a proper setup.

Ya, wouldn't recommend that. The tubes are specific for the Bazooka subs.

The only vehicle bazooka tubes sound good in are trucks! Get a nice 10 inch sub (i.e. a kicker cvr, L5) and you dont even have to get a huge amp do get awesome sound quality. I have one 12 inch alpine type R with a 400 watt kicker amp and it sounds great. It all just depends on the sound you are looking for.

wow...its been a very long time since i heard of anyone using a tube....tubes use to be great but long gone are those days...ditch the tube and use a simple 10 inch sub setup....kicker, jl, infinity, alpine...plenty of good brands out there all depends on what you are looking for. i personally use jl but to each his own
