Was Fosgate sound system available pre-07?

Looking to upgrade my 06 IX. I know alot of the newer mitsubishi's have the fosgate package that you can get. I know they had a sun sound and leather available for the EVO's, but didn't know what system they consisted of. In short, my question is this: Was there a fosgate system available in 06 or earlier that I can swap into my IX? And if so, is it worth it, or would you rather get aftermarket. I have been a Fosgate rider for the past 10 years and have stood by their products heavily. But I would just like to make sure as the ease of the install would be a plus if it was direct fit. Thanks all!

No. Before '07 it was Infinity. Go with aftermarket.

So what do you think of there stuff nowadays compared to 10 years ago?

Well, I liked it better back then. I still have 3 2nd gen amps that I plan to use with my setup. I had fosgates on the inside 10 years ago an the sound was incredible. The fact that they went retail like in Best Buy and in auto packages, worries me a bit.

In the Infinity Inside speakers are great, but the sub lacks power.

Aftermarket always trumps facrtory.

I would love to run a set of their pre2000 amps, but they're really hard to find in good condition. I have a Symmetry that's sitting in my closet. Probably the best eq/xover ever.
