EVO X radio in a EVO IX?

Personally,
I feel cheated that the base-line, grocery getting Lancer 2008 (or better model) gets finally gets a great stereo, but what about the rest of us? Is it possible to put the radio from this years generation into an EVO IX MR? Yes, I own an ipod, but it's rather cumbersome to use the cigarette lighter FM tuner and I don't want to rip out the system all together and put some George Lucas THX mind blowing, dedicate my favorite song to everyone in a 4 block radius type stereo system. Also, is it possible to swap out the tach/speedometer from the current generation into an EVO IX MR? I mean seriously, I hat the 1968 Orange ugly ass display that came with it. If anyone knows about this please send me a PM or post here.

Just go with like an alpine or similar ones that have ipod integration. I like it a lot, and it works fine.

no you cannot put the X radio's in a IX. Just like SyZyGy1394 says, get an aftermarket radio that has the ipod integration, and it will give you even more benificial features

I wouldn't call the X's stereo "great"

What? Like 300W RMS isn't it? Thats pretty low. The sub in my car alone is 250W RMS haha.
