Drives: LANCER EVO IX

Is it normal not to have any lighting from your stock radio ???

I just baught a 2006 Evo IX... The radio dosen't illuminate at night... you can't even see the buttons. If this isn't normal what might be the problem.. blwn fuse or radio not plugged in right ? However it does play just dosen't light up

Thanks
Gary

You could check all your fuses, although I don't think there's a fuse dedicated to that. There is a wire that's triggered when you turn on your parking/headlights. You might pull out the radio and see if it's damaged. The radio itself could also be faulty.

Then again, mine didn't have a factory radio in it when I bought it, so it could be completely normal, but I doubt it.
