Frustrated and Need Major Help
1st a backround story of the car......
I bought the car with 15k miles on it about 2 1/2 years ago and when i got it there was just a ridiculous amount of wire hidden everywhere it had like 3 screeens in it random led's mounted all over the place and some other stupid sh*t. So me and my friend took a saturday and removed all the excess wiring and other annoying rice parts that werent even hooked up properly. We got all the screens out and the extra lights and nonsense and called it a day.
Now as of today i woke up and decided it was time to finish with the extra speaker wiring to be pulled out. I took the head unit out to find that had been wired some weird ass way and had speaker wire running from the back of the head unit to the trunk of the car. I disconnected it all and wired the head unit how it was supposed to be wired and now none of my speakers are playing sound, so im guessing the f****d up the whole wiring system for all the speakers and now I cant find a diagram of how everything is supposed to be hooked up from the factory!
Does anyone have a diagram of how its supposed to be setup? I'm tempted to just take it to the stealership and have them redo it all.....but im thinking they'll charge me and arm and a leg! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Any amps? Take a gander at your rear speakers in the trunk and see if they're using factory wiring.
Yes, the dealership will charge you an arm and a leg for sure.
+ -
yellow/red gray/ red FR
yello/blue gray/blue FL
white/red black/red RR
white/blue black/blue RL
Acc usually solid blue and 12+ is usually red/black
You can try this. I can't guarantee the accuracy though.

nope no amps or anything there's 3 sets of + and - wires i tried connecting those together but nothing change they seem to be aftermarket wires......at one time i believe they where attatched to some kind of time amp or something it wasn't like a normal amp at all.
I might just try to take it to a car audio shop to see if they can rewire it.

Is the factory plug or wiring still in the dash? Do you have a multimeter?

yeah the factory wiring is still in there......there was a wiring harness adapter that was hooked to the head unit and there where also a set of wires coming of the adapter to some small amps controlling the low's mid's and high's in the trunk. i think whoever did it was an idiot because they basically replaced all the stock wiring with aftermarkey wiring that is even a thicker guage......i think im just gunna pay a car audio shop to rewire all my speakers.

While it may not be a bad idea to pay a professional, with a little bit of research and time you could fix it yourself. A car audio shop is going to charge you quite a bit too. A stereo system is pretty simple; 2 wires to each speaker. Nothing more, nothing less. If the stock plug/wiring is intact in the dash and if it's intact in the trunk/doors (which it sounds like it might be), then it's cake.
Do you know if the speakers are stock or not?
If you want, pics (good ones) of the dash wiring and if you can, pics of wiring of the speakers in at least the trunk. Doors would be great too, but usually you upgrade stuff in the doors before the trunk.

Ah, okay that sort of makes sense then. However, did the guy remove aftermarket speakers before you got the car? This could make sense because it's difficult making money back on any decent system when sold used. It's easier to pull and keep good components or pull and sell said components. However, if someone was lazy, they may have just left the wiring in place.

I have no way of knowing if he did or not.......I basically wanted to remove all the excess wiring out of the car cause it was just ridiculous.....my lights have been doing that stupid pulsating thing so i've been trying to figure out if there's just too much **** hooked up to the car thats not being used and is just wasting power. I started looking under the dash and it looks like its also wired for an alarm system so i took most of that out since i don't have any of the remotes for that alarm system i just have the stock remote.
This **** is so annoying im just going to have to take it to a sound shop and have them remove and rewire everything.

It sound like they just extended the factory speaker wires from the back of teh headunit to the truck of the car. i would check to make sure that that the factory wiring is still connected to the head unit.

I don't believe it is.....im gunna wire the aftermarket wires into the head unit today, because thats the only way it will work.
Then im going to take it to an audio shop to have them take out all of the excess wiring from the alarm system thats not even functioning

Hopefully you got things fixed at a reasonable price. If not, I happen to have the stock wiring diagrams.

i would also use the aftermarket wiring instead of the stock. the problem was the person before you just added wiring instead of completely replacing the stock wiring. it would be like running a second tb and leaving the stock one hanging next to it. they were just too lazy to do it the right way the first time. also check what brand wiring the aftermarket is and what gage wire it is. some aftermarket wiring is quite expensive and you could sell it or use it for a grounding system.
