Stock radio

Is there a code you need to enter if you put a stock radio from one car to another?

When I removed my stock radio and plugged it back in I didn't have to enter a code. Not sure if you move the radio to another car. I'd say NO.

Some radios will need a code. I'm not certain if yours will or not. I think the Infinity systems require one. But when you take out your radio to swap it, just write down the serial number of your radio and pm it to me with the vin # of the car. I will get you the factory code to unlock it if you need it. Don't sweat it.

look in your owners manual for a credit card size radio code, if you don't have one chances are you you wont need a code, worst case is that you call the dealer up and give them your vin they will have the code if you need it

Yes, if it needs a code, you should have the code somewhere with your manual. But you do need the serial # of the radio if you want to get the factory code from the dealer. The vin doesn't give the dealer any info.
