How to reset COMPUSTAR alarm

Due vacation oversea for 2mo. my evo ran out of battery. After recharged the car battery, my car alarm remote control couldn't detect to the car. Usually on the remote control, it shows a little "LOCK" signal but somehow, my remote can't detect to the car. Car alarm came on when I open the door manually. I couldn't start the engine. Does anyone know how to reset the COMPUSTAR alarm, I have no clue which model I got but mine is with the BLUE remote(car alarm, turbo timer/autostart)

ps: I remember mine is COMPUSTAR alarm 3rd generation or something. Could be easier if you send a PM to help out, thank you in advance!

I'm not familiar with the compustar series, but if it's similar to directed electronics, it sounds like you need to reprogram your remote. I guess the battery dieing caused the main alarm system to switch frequency///code.

Take it back to the professional if you got it installed, they usually do it for free.

Otherwise off the top of my head on DEI products the sequence is....

1. click and hold valet switch till chirp on alarm
2. put key in ignition and turn to on position
3. use unlock button on your remote
4. wait 5 seconds for 2 beeps from car chirps for confirmation.
5. press valet switch twice and wait for chirp

Then your remote should work. But again.... compustar's programming could be different and I can't be 100% if the instructions above are totally acurate. Just going off memory.

here is the step to program your remote.

Remote-Pager Learn Routine
The CompuStar system will allow up to three remotes to be programmed to one
vehicle. Please perform the following procedure to add or reprogram additional
remotes.
Step1 : Activate Valet/Programming mode by manually turning the ignition
on and off five times (between Acc and On)
with the key within a 7 second period.
The parking light will flash once with successful
completion of this step.
Step2 : Within a 7 second period after cycling the ignition for the 5t h time,
press button I. The parking lights will flash once to confirm that the
transmitter has been programmed. You can continue programming
additional remotes. The parking lights will flash two times when the
programming mode has expired
