Evo Double Din Radio Relocation Kit?
Is it just me, or are there any Double Din, radio relocation kits out there. I would use the orbital kit, but the Evo has the Gruppe-S Gauge cluster. Is this even possible, or practical? I don't have a problem with some custom fiberglass work, just wanted to get your guys input.
Thanks
Travis

There is no aftermarket kit that moves the DD unit to the cubby. You will need to do some glassing to move it yourself.
Go for it, cuz I don't think anyone here has done it and I would love to see final results!

Hey, I think I'm going to go ahead and do it . I don't like how the flip out works in the lower radio location. It blocks the air conditioning controls, and isn't too clean of a situation. Let me look into making a custom enclosure for the Dual Din setup, and when I get everything done I'll post the results.

esevo, you just gave me second thoughts on getting a double din. I have gauges up above too, and decided that I liked the gauges more than I would a double din. Did you ever get it finished? Any more pics?

I converted my single din space that housed the headunit into a 3 gauge space it was actually quite easy to do the surrounds are made from ABS so it is easy enough plastic weld a piece of ABS plastic in there and then fiberglass up the balance to make the area level then use a gel coat to smooth it all out then cut the holes and then paint to what ever color you like
The plastic welding is easy as there is a special glus that you use that melts and binds the two plastic pieces together
