Need help.Sub and amp wiring Alpine type r

So I came across a brand new alpine type r subwoofer (12" ,dvc, 4 ohm,500 watts rms).I have a Kenwood Kac-929 laying around. Here are the specs for the amp:

stereo or bridged mono output
Tri-way capable (Tri-Way Crossover required)
460 watts x 1 in bridged mode
230 watts x 2 at 2 ohms
requires 4-gauge power and ground leads — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
50-200 Hz low-pass crossover, 18 dB/octave
selectable 0/+6/+12 dB bass boost at 90 Hz
speaker-level inputs
4-way protection circuitry
cooling fan
signal-to-noise ratio 100 dB

I have the sub wired in parellel and bridged at the amp for now.Would the way I have it wired be the safest way to wire?

Well, it kinda depends. Technically no (I'm sure that amp isn't 1ohm stable), but you might be able to get away with it. When you bridge an amp it will effectively see half the impedance that is hooked up to it. So since you have a dvc woofer at 4ohms per coil wired in parallel that is effectively 2ohms. The amp will see it as 1ohm. It will ultimately depend on how well the amp can keep cool. Worst case scenario, it overheats and becomes a paperweight. Best case scenario, it works fine and maybe goes into thermal protection, if it has it, every now and again. The safe way to do it without having to buy another amp or sub is to split the parallel and wire each voice coil to each channel. Unfortunately you're only going to get about 230w rms out of the amp. What you should do money being no object is to buy a mono channel amp rated around 500w rms. Or trade in the sub for an 8ohm or 2ohm version (don't know if they make either). You could also buy another kac-929 and put one amp on each coil. Just keep the gain down.

Option 2 until you get a 1 ohm stable mono amp.

Actually if you get a mono amp you should use option 1. A mono channel amp will be running at 2 ohms. Option 2 you will be running at 8 ohms. Your diagrams are referencing 2ohm coils whereas you have 4 ohm coils.
