Remote Start Q

Just wondering if I have to get the immobilizer key cut for the compustar remote start unit, or can I just program the key and have it uncut (for security reasons of course). Any input would be great. Thanks in advance guys

I dont know anything about the compustar alarms but if you do have to get a key, you could just cut it. That way it would only be the immobilizer piece in there vs. having the whole key. Thats what I did.

^ thats a pretty good idea. I was thinking of actually not cutting the key and just keeping it there, but i like your idea more

just get a bypass kit which is just a matchbox sized transponder bypass and you need to program it without putting a key inside. It is called PKU-MIT from 12voltshop.com.
