Focals or 8in Subs in rear deck?

Okay heres the deal. I have Focals K2 components in front doors and they sound awesome but the bass and lower side of the mid range is a bit lack luster (hpf set at 70hz) Anways I was thinking about Focals 6.5in extension kit (165 KBE) for the rear deck but I dont know if that would be enough for me. I am not looking for your typical blow the back window out but I do enjoy some bass without having to add a bigger sub or another amp (basically trying to keep weight down). So my question has anybody stuck 8in subs in their rear deck. Would it be advised or not worth the trouble. I already have an Alpine PDX amp that does 100watt rpm per channel so it should be enough. Also if anybody has used the Focal 165 KBE what did you think of them. Suggestions are appreciate.

Edit: Also considering these: http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=33

Build a rear armrest enclosure with 1 or 2 JL 6W3's. I'm sure that would give you the extension your looking for. Unless you do a fair bit of sound deadening to the rear deck, I am sure it will rattle with any small sub you mount there. Not to mention you'll be adding quite a bit of weight.

What about those Elemental designs speakers. They should fit and can run free air. I dont need subs I just want a good 6.5-7in speaker that produces some bass. I don't want to get rid of the rear armrest so thats probably a no go for me. Its a good idea though.

You should consider the kicker CompVT, its ah shallow 6.5" subwoofer, so it will save u weight and give u that extra boom of bass. You should consider adding two of these to the rear deck, and bridging two of the four channels on the PDX, to push it, and run the next 2 channels for highs and mids.

heres the link http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...8C65VT4&tp=111

BTW, what model headunit are u running and does the PDX have Bass Boost?

if it has a sub out, use it on the bridged channels, which will make it an complete sub channel, and will focus only on bass, and run the front output from the headunit to the other two channels on the PDX for highs and mids. I think u would get ah overall good sound with alot of booming bass.... What do U think?
